Hozier returns to the Palais, Melbourne. Touring his No 1 US album Wasteland, Baby! Amazing set as usual.

Melbourne singer songwriter Didirri warmed up the crowd for Hozier in the Palais, St Kilda over two nights. His charisma certainly touched the audience, he had the whole venue singing along to his very catchy song ‘I Can't Get Last Night Out Of My Head’. Loved it.

Helmet live at 170 Russell Street Melbourne. They played their classic album 'Betty' from start to finish followed by another 2 hours of hits and crowd pleasers. You can tell they appreciate their fans.

A three hour set of tracks, from new EP, A Season On The Line and album Didn't he Ramble as well as old faves like Star Star and a cover of Van Morrison (Astral Weeks) and Woody Guthrie (Vigilante Man). The show finished off with a cover of ACDC's Downpayment Blues from Powerage. Brilliant night.

St Kilda Festival, Live n Local in Luna Park. My first time seeing these guys live and what a cool setting with the rollercoasters and lights. They rocked!

Def Leppard live at Rod Laver Arena Melbourne. My first time catching these guys live, a hit fest with fantastic visuals and the crowd went wild.

Hozier live at the Palais, Melbourne. The first of two sold out shows on his return to the music capital of Australia. He just gets better.

Performing at The Melbourne Festival. My first time experiencing Ólafur Arnalds and Janus Rasmussen, known as Kiasmos, live. They released one of my favourite albums of last year, even better with full volume up to 11.

So much talent from Iceland, another band that continues to raise the bar.

Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell at the Palais, St Kilda. Harris has more than 25 albums under her belt, along with 13 Grammy awards and a Country Music Hall of Fame induction. It was an honour to capture some live performance shots. 

A very intimate show in Kensington Town Hall, Melbourne. A beautiful setting with minimal lighting which was a challenge to shoot. Mark is known for creating intimate shows for his fans. I used a 70-200 on a tripod and shot when the audience applauded to be less intrusive. The shots are grainy which I like. Being restricted makes you work harder to get the best possible results.

Always a pleasure to shoot Rodrigo y Gabriela when they tour Australia. This show wasn't part of an album tour. After being asked to play at the Bluesfest, they scheduled some side shows which were pretty relaxed. They asked about thirty punters to join them on stage for most of the set which was a great spectacle and made the shoot even more interesting.

My first time shooting Daniel Champagn. A very unique talent who opened for Rodrigo y Gabriela. A very attentive audience, easily won over by his fantastic style. Hints of Rodrigo y Gabriela and Preston Reed but Daniel creates his own unique sound leaning towards folk and blues in a confident voice.

Hozier's first Australian show in the Corner Hotel. An intimate setting which created a special buzz among the few who managed to score tickets. He didn't fail to impress.
